How to Use
- Open the target web page in your browser.
- Option 1 (Recommended): View the page's source code (usually right-click -> "View Page Source" or similar). Select all (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A) and copy (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C).
- Option 2: Select and copy the main text content from the page.
- Paste the copied HTML source or text into the text area above.
- Click the "Count Words" button.
- The estimated word count will appear in the "Results" section.
Accuracy Note: Counting words from HTML source strips out tags but includes text within scripts or style tags if present. Counting pasted plain text is generally more accurate for visible content.
Why Count Words on a Web Page?
